Description of Property
17th century chateau featuring 12 bedrooms for a maximum 24 guests, 3 reception rooms and outdoor event space and swimming pool.
1. MAKING A BOOKING
Once we have agreed on the dates, price, services, and terms of your booking we’ll send you a booking form.
When you complete and return the signed Booking Form to us we recommend you keep a copy for your own reference.
The person who signs the Booking Form certifies that he/she is authorised to agree to its terms on behalf of all persons included on the booking Form, including any persons who may be substituted/added at a later date.
The signatory must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be 18 years or over. Bookings will not be accepted from parties of young people less than 18 years of age.
Immediately upon receipt of deposit payment, we will email you a Confirmation of Booking. This will note the remaining balance, if any, and when payment is due. Please note that the booking is not confirmed until we have received the completed booking form and deposit.
2. PAYMENT
The initial payment required to secure a reservation is 50 percent of the total rental price. This payment should be made by Bank Transfer. The deposit is non-refundable.
The balance must be paid not less than 10 weeks (70 days) prior to your arrival at the chateau.
We are entitled to treat your booking as cancelled if you fail to pay the balance on time.
Bookings taken with in 9 weeks of your arrival at the property must be paid in full.
3. DAMAGE DEPOSIT
Damage deposit to be defined at time of booking, payable no less than 2 weeks prior to arrival. This is to cover the cost of any damage or breakages to or at the property. The cost of any agreed damage will be deducted from the deposit and returned to the Client. Generally, this will be within 3 weeks of departure, but delays may arise whilst awaiting repair estimates.
4. OUR DUTIES
The property is accommodated to receive 24 guest in the chateau.
Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL undertakes to supply the property and its amenities in a good state of repair and cleanliness and to make every endeavour to deal as quickly as possible with any breakdowns of appliances, heating, air conditioning etc.
Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL declines any responsibility for any physical damage suffered by the client or guests using the facilities.
Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL confirms that there is no lifeguard on duty at the swimming pool and the clients swim at their own risk. No glass is allowed within the pool area and all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Swimming under the influence of drugs and alcohol is not permitted at any time.
Whilst every effort is made to adhere to the contract Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL cannot accept liability for alteration, delay or cancellation of clients holiday because of war, threat of war, riot or civil strife, terrorist activity (threatened or actual), natural disaster, fire, sickness, weather conditions, action at an airport or port by any Government or public authority, technical problems relating to transport, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown within the property or other circumstances amounting to Force Majeure, acts of God or other similar events beyond our control. If you are unable to attend your event due to COVID-19 travel restrictions preventing you from travelling to France then Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL will offer you the chance to postpone your event, subject to availability, without any penalties.
5. USE OF THE PROPERTY
The provision of the property and the accommodation services is expressly accepted by the Client under the following conditions, which the Client undertakes to comply with without being able to demand any refund or reduction in price.
The client must use the furniture, objects and specific equipment present in the property in accordance with their intended purpose and in the location as found upon arrival. The Client undertakes therefore to maintain the furniture, furnishings and specific equipment in perfect working order and to return them at the end of the rental period in the condition upon arrival.
The Client undertakes not to change the furniture, it’s layout and decoration.
The Client undertakes to comply with instructions to the use and maintenance of heating/cooling systems and household appliances.
The Client undertakes to abstain from throwing anything into sinks, baths, bidets, basins, washbasins, toilets etc. that could block the pipes. Otherwise the client will be liable for costs incurred in repairing such items.
The Client undertakes not to hold any parties, receptions or events without specific written permission from Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL.
The Client must allow any urgent works or repairs to be done which are necessary for the upkeep of the property.
The Client acknowledges that smoking within the property is not allowed.
Any valuables left at the property are left at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss.
The Client must not bring any animals onto the property without the permission of Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL.
In the case of loss of keys Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL will deduct the cost of the replacement of these and if necessary replacement locks from the Clients damage deposit.
The Client acknowledges that air conditioning/heating will only be effective if all doors and windows are closed whilst it is in use.
The Client is not allowed under any circumstances to carry on any commercial, professional or industrial business or trade in the property.
Our normal arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am.
The Client undertakes to vacate the property and the end of the stay defined above and to return the keys on the leaving day of the period defined above. If the Client refuses to leave the property a judgment pronounced in summary proceedings, with provisional enforcement not withstanding appeal, will be sufficient to force the Client to do so. The cost of the summary judgment and any other sub sequential or consequential costs will be payable in full by the Client.
6. Insurance.
Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL confirms that the property is insured to cover the risks of fire, explosion, water damage etc. This covers the property, the furniture, the materials and equipment contained in the property as well as rental risks and recourse by neighbours and third parties.
Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL declines any liability for any recourse that it’s Insurance Company may bring against the Client in the event of a claim.
The Client expressly waives any action for liability against Chateau de Siradan Hautes Pyrenees SARL in case of temporary outage or reduction in public services such as water, gas, electricity and internet.
7. Applicable Law and Language.
Whilst the language of the contract is English the contract is governed by French Law. Any disputes arising shall be under the jurisdiction of the place the property is situated.
