The Château

 

A history of the Château

With construction starting in 1649 by family Sarrieu, the house has gone under huge changes over the last 400 hundred years. As Madame Sarrieu married into the de Seze family, the château changed name (but not owner!) to become Château de Seze. It is from this point that the building and grounds remained under that one name until the start of the 21st Century where by more recent owners took the château to the next level of restoration and comfort. Now under the custodianship of Katie and Andy, the château has been brought back to its former glory and ready to welcome all family and friends to enjoy what the house, the grounds and the entire Pyrenees have to offer.

With all areas boasting reversible heating and air-conditioning, wifi and the all the soft furnishings that modern living can require the château maintains that all important feeling of French history, countryside living, opulence and sense of home.

For those who find the stairs a little difficult, our ground floor suite enables you to reside in classic French luxury with en-suite shower room.
